Hotel Pincoffs invited Bomdesign to design new lamps for their Art Suite. Located on the historic waterfront of Rotterdam, Suitehotel Pincoffs is situated in a beautiful 19th century customs house.
Making use of redundant sea navigation charts Bomdesign created these two large glowing sculptural hanging lamps which are a real eye catcher in this interior. For questions about ordering these lamps please email us.

For the chic Bar Lobo Restaurant in central Barcelona Bomdesign made five specially large Atlas booklamps and also supplied them with various vintage chairs through their own vintage design store Bom Design Furniture.
The Equinox wall booklamp is made by Bomdesign from a recycled atlas book. It is made as a reading book version, atlas version, music book version and recently a bible version. It can be used as a wall lamp or as a table lamp.Read more…
The Typo chair was the first chair designed by Bomdesign. In designing the chair they researched vintage and functional designs searching for an archiac shape of the chair. Inspired by chair designs from Gerrit Rietveld, Wim Rietveld and Friso Kramer they created the Typo chair using only a minimal amount of materials. Bomdesign transforms the billboards to make each chair into a unique and abstract typographic design. 
The Billbirdhouse was Bomdesign’s first endeavour at making products with billboards.vBomdesign has transformed the billboards to make each billbirdhouse into a unique and abstract typographic design.
These billbirdhouses have been made out of reused Finnish birch multiplex billboards. The perches are made from found handles. The side of the birdhouse can easily be opened to clean the nest box.
These nests are frequented by great tits (Paridae) or other finches of a similar size.Read more…
The Globe book lamp is made from a large Readers Digest atlas sculpted into a globe of the world. Bomdesign started out creating these booklamps in 2004. These sculptural light objects display their ability to create poetic yet totally functional objects.
The Orbit book lamp has been created out of a colourful used Atlas book which Bomdesign has sculpted into a lamp which is functional and beautiful to look at at the same moment.

Bomdesign was asked to make some lamps for the Van Gennep bookstore in the center of Rotterdam. Above the counter in the bookstore is a large version of the Atlas book lamp and above the table in the mezzanine a smaller version is hanging.
